This is a location in Denver I have wanted to shoot the Denver Cityscape for a long time. Now that I am getting into HDR I thought this would be the perfect location to try out some HDR shots. This shot however happened as I finished up shooting the city scape and headed back to my car and I saw this big neon sign with the dramatic sky above. This was one of my favorite galleries and shots. The isolation of this place I tried to capture though these photos. The dirt road to get there was long and slow, with nothing in site for an hour. When I arrived I saw one Jeep pull into this area, then within minutes it turned around and headed out . I stayed for several hours enjoying and photographing the serenity, the uniqueness of this landscape, while wondering if my Subaru had what it takes for me to eventually leave… Please check out the rest of the gallery by clicking on the link below.

This photo was taking looking up in a slot canyon of Arizona, while on a road trip phtographing Arizona, New Mexico and Utah. The way the light reflects off the walls that has been eroded away from water, to create depth and definition of the sandstone walls is brilliant. It is truly an otherworldly and a spiritual place to be.
This Grizzley bear was practially asleep on this log. His head was so heavy he could barely change his head to the other side of the log.
McClure pass is located just between carbondale and redstone. This photo display fall colors of yellow, orange and red, some green and a blue sky.

This park that I grew up with was picture perfect on this day. The sun was setting and the water was perfectly still to give me this perfect reflection of this pond at local park. A slight turn of my polarizer and there it was the perfecct reflection with every detail in the water.
Tangier was very colorful in the markets and other select areas. This was one surprise that I came upon. There were actually several walls like this with hanging potted plants almost covering them. This was one example.
The peacefulness of a Colorado winter. This was taken after a fairly large storm on top of Loveland pass. The sky was dark and with the early morning light this photo shows the dramatic in black and white and yet the peacefulness of winter.

This picture was taken of the small mountain town of Rhonda, Spain. As you walk through the town it is very rare that you are not either walking downhill or uphill. I found this to be a very unique place with all of the white washed buildings, with red tile roofs and cobblestone streets.
The blue mystique of the sky with the billowing clouds, the fog rising from the lake with the dark tree line on the horizon. I wonder if the trees were not there if you could tell the difference from the lake to the sky. Alaska can be so peaceful and calming, this is only one image.
This almost, other-worldly photo was taken at 3:40 am on the road from Anchorage to Telkeetna. Driving along the highway early morning after flying into Alaska I noticed this lake with the unbelievable mirror image and color. After being awake all night I was so happy to see a bit of light starting to show, but even more I knew these images would be a great start to an amazing trip. I am happy to say I was not disappointed.
