Alaska

The blue mystique of the sky with the billowing clouds, the fog rising from the lake with the dark tree line on the horizon. I wonder if the trees were not there if you could tell the difference from the lake to the sky. Alaska can be so peaceful and calming, this is only one image.

This almost, other-worldly photo was taken at 3:40 am on the road from Anchorage to Telkeetna. Driving along the highway early morning after flying into Alaska I noticed this lake with the unbelievable mirror image and color. After being awake all night I was so happy to see a bit of light starting to show, but even more I knew these images would be a great start to an amazing trip. I am happy to say I was not disappointed.

Red Rocks

This photo was taken after running the stairs at Red Rocks amphitheater. As I was heading back to my car I noticed this scene and had to take a picture. The sky really was pink and by the time I had my camera ready the sky only intensified and left this amazing glow on the rocks.

Garden of the Gods

These red rock formations in Colorado Springs are similar to those of Red Rocks Park in Morrison, CO. These were taken mid summer late in the afternoon. By turning these to black and white this gave the photos a more dramatic effect.

October Photo

On a very unusual crisp, clear and warm October night in Denver, this photo was taken of Union Station. Here I am trying to show another angle of a familiar landmark of Denver.

Telluride

Even on a cloudy day the colors in Telluride just seem to be that much brighter, while The San Juan Mountain Range rises up out of nowhere for the full dramatic effect.

Box Canyon Falls

Box Canyon Falls is a very unusual and beautiful spot just outside Ouray, Colorado. The water shoots down the cracks between rocks that it created into a pool of water has a incandescent blue color. It is almost otherworldly to descend into the canyon just to watch the water swirl and rush it’s way out of the canyon.
